It’s a German tradition originated in Munich and is now held annually worldwide. The people festival is celebrated from mid-September and through early October with the consumption of Oktoberfest brews, hearty food, games, and music. Starting this year, Uptown NYC will be blessed with its own.
While the larger performances and international beer tasting will take place on MARCUS GARVEY PARK in Harlem this year (stay tuned for more information And full schedule), the festival will bring together more than 200 local bars, restaurants, and lounges above 110 st and through Dyckman in this grand celebration.
The event at Marcus Garvey Park starts at 11 am and ends at 7 pm on October 8th. The Uptown Oktoberfest runs till late in our 200-plus participating locations.
The festival entertainment includes but is not limited to live music and dance performances, comedy jam, games & raffles, a DJ set, an eating competition, a stein-hoisting challenge, art installation, content stations, and more.
Of course. We do not create events that don’t have incredible grub from local vendors, chefs, and restaurants. We exist to serve the love-to-eat community.
